Literacy with ICT and Copyright

Each class of ICT had very important information; during week #8 the guest John Finch explained very clearly the themes of Literacy in ICT and Copyright Matters!
The literacy with ICT had a good tool to be used by the teacher for the student’s assessment as learning.
ICT promote Critical Skills, Creating skills and Feedback for reflexion and those are appropriate to follow the cycle in ICT for teaching and student’s learning into the curriculum. Literacy with ICT is and will be a great tool of the government to transform and improve the Canadian education.

Changes in educational  technology are linked with International Copyright. Technology used in education has been protected with governmental law of Copyright in Canada. To follow Fair dealing Guidelines of copyright is very important for the teachers, so they  avoid contravening the law.

I enjoyed the ICT courses, because each class introduce new technology information and websites, during the week six, I learned about new programs for edit photos and video online. This websites were Pixlr, Comfight, Animoto, and Bensound. I liked this websites, because are legal and help to edit easily, also I can use this websites to edit video and photography correctly   during my teaching in the classroom.

My Eportfolio

I enjoyed ICT class during week #5, because I acquired more information to develop my eportfolio.

I started with the website Wix, however I changed to the website Weebly, because I found it easier. I am learning more about how to build my eportfolio, but I am still in that process. I am so happy, because my eportfolio is a tool with which I can give a good first impression, people can know more about me, and I will have access to it with internet. Also last Tuesday, I liked the quiz using Kahoot website, although my advice worked slow and I cannot answer quickly the questions, I learned how to make quizzes using Kahoot online in the classroom.

Maple as a Teachers' Tool

In the ICT class we had this week professional information of student portfolios and Forum of Manitoba Education and Training (Maple). The guest, John Evans explained step by step the tips to reach success as teachers. Maple has resources that teachers can use in their subjects.
The Maple Forem is an appropriate network with security filters that can connect with Google Drive accounts. Maple also can be used in blogs.  I liked Evans’ blog Professional learning in 15 minutes or less, because it has useful links where we can find information.
Although I liked the talk and Evans’ professional presentation, I think the speaker should have more time to explain with more details some topics like Flipboard and Edutopia.

I enjoyed the presentation; I found it really useful, I think is a good tool for us as future teachers.

Tech Task # 9 Internet Resources: #Education
